Sahara Tile

Sahara, designed by Gabriel Tan, is a wall tile system produced with waste material from the production of wine corks in Portugal. As simple and spontaneous as a sand formation carved by the wind, Sahara’s shape is the perfect starting point for producing a multitude of patterns, from asymmetrical to symmetrical. These patterns,
together with the intrinsic acoustical qualities of cork, permit Sahara to scatter specular reflected sound throughout a space. The result is a fuller distribution of sound throughout a space.
